Activator X is actually a common part of traditional indigenous rituals surrounding food and fertility, according to Healing Our Children. This hormone can be found in milk during the rainy season, which is important to the Masai's pre-pregnancy diet. It's also found in the thyroid glands of moose, which are highly prized by the Canadian Indians at the end of the summer season.

  • Check to find a local dairy farmer who sells butter made from grassfed cattle during the spring and summer months. The farmer may not call it "high vitamin butter," but as long as it has a natural yellow or orange tint and is made from fresh milk during your climate's growing season, it most likely contains Activator X and would be a great addition to your healthy pregnancy diet.
  • Anchor Butter rom New Zealand is a good high vitamin butter. Some local organic grocery stores carry it, and you can find suppliers by calling 1-888-869-6455.
  • Another option is Kerrygold Butter, which is also available at many natural food stores. This butter can actually be found in some chain grocery stores, as well.
